01Context

They sell judgement, not a SKU.

Executive coaches, leadership advisors, and boutique consultancies share a website challenge: visitors must quickly answer — Is this person credible for my situation? — but many advisory sites either overclaim with vague transformation promises and anonymous testimonials, or underwhelm with a headshot and a Calendly link.

  • Anonymous testimonials and logo walls are widely distrusted by senior buyers.
  • A headshot and a booking link gives the visitor nothing to evaluate.
  • Senior buyers research extensively before revealing their identity.

Forge Advisory was created as a ClixFeed concept to test a different model: authority through structure, while refusing fabricated proof. The site includes a six-stage interactive decision framework, a local speaking reel, a fillable seven-page PDF lead magnet, and an enquiry flow with accessible tabs, FAQ, and modal patterns.

02Business problem

Show how they think.

An advisory practice website must do five things. Forge is designed around those requirements with explicit honesty about what is fictional.

  • Position narrowly enough to be memorable — not "leadership and life and strategy for everyone."
  • Show how the advisor thinks — frameworks beat adjectives.
  • Offer a low-risk entry — download, watch, read — before a call.
  • Qualify enquiries — organisation size, challenge type, readiness.
  • Feel senior — visual tone must match the fee level implied.
Information architecture

Recognise → method → proof → step.

The page order is built around progressive commitment. Senior buyers can engage deeply before they ever reveal who they are.

The framework — interactive preview

A six-stage model a visitor can actually walk through.

Each stage is a short interactive prompt with a sample response. Visitors take something useful away whether or not they enquire — and the practice gets the same model as a downloadable PDF on the lead-magnet side.

  1. 01

    Frame the decision

Visitors identify the kind of inflection they are facing — strategic, organisational, or personal — before any framework is applied.

  2. 02

    Surface the constraints

A guided prompt maps the variables in play — stakeholders, timelines, succession, risk tolerance — so the path forward has somewhere to live.

  3. 03

    Test the assumptions

A short checklist of the beliefs the principal is operating under. Most decisions here are revisited first.

  4. 04

    Map the options

A structured view of plausible paths, with the trade-offs named in plain language rather than consultant shorthand.

  5. 05

    Choose the path

A one-page decision summary the visitor can take to a board, a partner, or a coach. Useful even without engaging the practice.

  6. 06

    Carry it forward

A short handover note that lives in the visitor’s inbox. The practice surfaces again only when invited.

03Strategic decisions

The framework is the product preview.

Five decisions carry the credibility — each one replaces a shortcut the category normally reaches for.

  • Framework as product preview — the six-stage interactive decision framework makes thinking tangible. It is a content device, not a gimmick slider.
  • Lead magnet with real weight — a seven-page printable decision brief gives visitors something useful and gives the practice a reason to follow up.
  • Speaking reel over fake logos — a short speaking clip signals stage presence without inventing "Trusted by" logo walls.
  • No fabricated social proof — credibility comes from biography specificity, methodology visibility, and polished delivery.
  • Enquiry as demonstration — form submission shows complete UI states; backend connection is documented as a client step.

The concept deliberately excludes client metrics, anonymous quotes, and press logos — the same ethical line ClixFeed recommends to early-stage practices with real expertise but limited publishable case studies.

04Visual direction

Boardroom, not startup.

A restrained executive palette: dark surfaces, crisp typography, generous spacing, minimal ornament. Video, PDF, and framework UI share one component language — rounded corners, clear focus states, accessible contrast — so the site feels like one system.

Advisory credibility is built from legible thinking, not borrowed logos. The palette stays at ink and paper so the frameworks themselves carry the authority; blue marks only the conversion path.
05Conversion design

Progressive commitment.

Primary action: enquire about advisory engagement. Secondary: download the decision brief, explore the framework, watch the reel.

  • Progressive commitment — visitors can engage deeply without filling a form, which matters for senior buyers who research before revealing identity.
  • FAQ reduces unfit enquiries — confidentiality, engagement shape, and who the practice is not for appear before contact, saving partner time.
  • Accessible interaction — tabs, modal, and keyboard navigation are implemented; advisory brands cannot afford sloppy accessibility signals.
  • Printable asset — the lead magnet supports offline reading, matching how executives actually consume serious material.
Transferable value

What this demonstrates for real clients.

For coaches, consultants, facilitators, and advisory practices where the principal is the product.

  1. Methodology as content

Translate how you think into interactive web content a visitor can actually experience.

  2. Substantive lead magnets

Downloads with real weight behind them, not checkbox ebooks that exist only to capture an email.

  3. Video and assets in a static build

Reels and PDFs integrated properly, without a CMS or framework dependency.

  4. Bounded service architecture

Advisory, facilitation, and speaking offers structured without clutter or overlap.

  5. Credible senior tone

Visual and copy restraint that matches the fee level — without invented proof.

  6. Demo vs production, documented

Transparent labelling of what works and what still needs connecting, so nothing is oversold.

06Production connections

Before using a similar site commercially.

A client would complete the following before launch. The concept de-risks each by settling structure and behaviour first.

  • Replace fictional name, biography, and positioning with verified credentials.
  • Connect enquiry and download forms to CRM or email automation.
  • Replace placeholder media with real talk recordings and event links.
  • Review confidentiality and engagement copy with legal counsel.
  • Add analytics after consent requirements are decided.
  • Retain concept disclosure until the site represents a live practice.
The bet
Authority is not claimed in an About page. It is demonstrated in how clearly you can explain a problem.
